perfect base for exploring charming stow-on-the-wold

I found the staff extremely friendly, and the warm welcome set the tone for my stay. It was just a short walk of less than a 5-minute walk to the stunning Cotswold Cricket Museum, making it easy to explore the history of the area while savoring the lovely surroundings.

Ideal for couples seeking a retreat

I stayed in a spacious room that had a massive bed which was super comfy! The breakfast was a highlight. it wasn't just standard—had a nice selection, and that Full English? Just outta this world! My partner and I were very impressed.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but you get what you pay for.

    welcoming atmosphere
    easy navigation
    poor sound insulation
    noisy environment

The decor was elegantly rustic, especially in the dining area, making me feel as if I was dining in a charming countryside home. It was all so welcoming and easy to navigate for my senior friends!

Better sound insulation for a quieter night.

Great for families looking for a cozy getaway

They provided us with local walking maps, and one guy gave us directions to this beautiful scenic route through Maugersbury, even in the rain, it was stunning.

It wasn't exactly a bargain, but honestly worth it for what you get.

    good location
    comfortable room
    creaky floors
    restaurant hours
    flies in dining

The staff were incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home. The location is ideal for exploring the Cotswolds, just a short drive from popular spots like Stow and Burton. My room, although not overly spacious, featured a sizable, comfy bed that was perfect for a good night's sleep. The bathroom had quality amenities that stood out. Breakfast was a highlight—great variety and delicious options—though one morning, the food came out a bit cold. I appreciated the parking convenience and the availability of charging points for electric cars. the floors were very creaky, which made it hard to move around quietly, especially when other guests were active at night. I also noticed some flies around the outdoor areas during my stay, which was annoying. The restaurant service was inconsistent. one evening it wasn't open when we hoped to eat. The lack of options for last-minute dining was disappointing. while the positives were strong, some aspects need attention for an even better experience.

great stay but minor road access concern

The room offered ample space with a cozy lounge area, perfect for our needs. We enjoyed a delectable dinner at the restaurant, and the breakfasts were freshly cooked to our liking.

The access involves walking along a busy road, which can be unpleasant.

Our stay was fantastic! The Junior Suite was spacious and well-appointed, and our 17-month-old son had plenty of room to play. The staff were incredibly kind, and we really enjoyed the dinner—especially the risotto and steak, which were delicious!
