Lovely friendly family run hotel - beautiful contemporary decor

Good location just outside Stow. Hotel on its own grounds with landscaping and parking. Modern and well decorated first class with comfortable rooms and facilities. Excellent value. Good location for touring Cotswolds, Blenheim Palace, Stratford.

The hotel is excellent with very attentive, friendly and professional staff. While the room we stayed in was quite small it had everything we needed. There was free wifi and an excellent restaurant. It's a little out of Stow down a long hill so we didn't try the walk. The staff and hotel quality really make this a special place to stay.

The staff, and family style service, it is a very good place, very clean and location for the Cotswolds is excellent

From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful. We liked the contempory decor and the public areas - bar area and restaurant were lovely. The first time we stayed we had a standard room which was immaculate and comfortable but small. We liked the hotel so much that we booked an extra night on our way back home and had one of the upstairs rooms (family room or suites) which was fitted out to the same standard but much roomier. One of the best things about the hotel was the food - the dinner menu had plenty of choice and was absolutely excellent. Very, very good chef who presented the perfectly cooked food well, in a relaxed setting. Live piano music on the Saturday evening added to pleasant atmosphere. Really good breakfasts as well. The two sisters who run this hotel are definitely doing an excellent job.

As mentioned above the standard rooms are small and our window faced a brick wall, so I would ask for one on the the other side of the corridor which I imagine would look over the fields. When we had the window open at night there was a kind of annoying noise coming from an airconditioning unit outside, I think.

Lovely welcome spotlessly clean have paid more and got less the breakfast was yummy the views super.

When you open the window you can hear the busy road close by ,but it is out of sight the room was double glazed it had air conditioning no need to open the window actually,it certainly would not put me of staying there again.

Very well presented boutique hotel. The bedroom was spotlessly clean as were the others areas of the hotel. We were upgraded to a suite which was an added bonus. The candlelit restaurant was lovely. Food was on the more pricey side but well worth it. I enjoyed one of the best starters I have ever had. We would definitely stay there again. In fact we stayed another night it was so nice. The surrounding area is full of picturesque villages.

Slight traffic noise from the road but it wasn't bad enough to keep us awake.

An excellent Hotel. Well run. Rooms spotless, decorated with great tatse and very up market. Just outside Stow on the Wold and with terrific on site parking. Hotel is only one year old. Breakfast first class, served by wonderfully helpful young people. International guests lend a nice atmoshpere. Thoroughly recommend this Hotel. In my view, the best value for money, upmarket hotel in the area. If you want that "English feel", do not go here - it is modern and unashamedly so.

Very pleasant stay.staff very polite and helpful. Room immaculate and clean. The walk into Stow is not far but it's on a main road (pavements available) so care is needed especially at nighttime.

The lounge was pleasant - it was a nice place to sit and relax. The staff were solicitous and eager to assist. The restaurant's food was very good.

The rooms were quite small. Some of the staff were new to English and know certain things.

Excellent ocation, only about 1 mile outside Stoy. Our room was very clean and extremely comfortable. The restaurant is excellent, decor and food, thelatter is a little expensive. The staff are very attentive and pleasant. We had a very enjoyable 3 day stay and would have no hesitation in giving it a high recommendation.

Ther was nothing we did not like.

    The quality of the food.

The food was excellent although very overpriced and the portions were small. The staff were suffocatingly attentive. I felt I couldn't move without drawing their attention. The hallway outside my room smelled of fish. The road noise was a problem.

We arrived at Number Four at Stow where we were warmly welcomed. We had booked a double room but were given a free upgrade to a suite. The cleanliness and comfort of the suite was of the highest order. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner with fantastic service,a trend that carried through to breakfast the next morning. Our stay here was one of the most enjoyable experiences that we have had and I would without reservation recommend this hotel.
